Library Christmas wish to you.

librarian_xmasYes. It is here. The big dance. My absolute favorite time of year.

A time for which to read Christmas stories. To secretly wrap up little treasures selected for our loved ones.  To decorate sugary confections. To spend time together with family.  To watch the amazement of the season through my  child’s eyes. To relive holidays  passed through  his excitement.  As a mother, it takes much planning to make the holiday as bright and merry for my child as my mother did for me.  However,  it is a time of true joy.

I simply love this holiday.

As a librarian, I wish you a holiday with time to read with a child.  Make  reading a holiday habit. Our Lagrange Library, as do many municipal libraries,  offers shelves full of Hanukkah, Christmas, Kwanzaa  selections.

Merry Christmas dear reader.

While I am a librarian , I am a reading cheerleader. The purpose of this library blog is to better promote reading and information literacy to my community. I love books, reading with my son, properly placed apostrophes, canoeing, locating the nearest Starbucks, cheering the Montreal Canadians, and Cherry Garcia ice cream.
